Authorities are often unable to understand the creativity behind the intelligent minds of scientists. That is why it is common for them to insult and suppress the greatest minds of our history, especially when they are working on something so special and revolutionary that it can completely transform the world we live in.
There are hundreds of historical figures whose creativity and incredible discoveries have been suppressed and overrun by criticism of narrow-minded people. In order to stop him from making this great discovery, he was persecuted in a systematic, brutal, and in a very public way. As soon as his discoveries were revealed, he was thrown in prison, all his instruments were destroyed, and even his books related to his research work were burned to assure that no one will work on this concept again. Wilhelm Reich was born in 1897 in Austria. He used 60 years of his life to establishing himself as a famous and influential figure in the realms of psychiatry and sexuality. Despite his amazing work both as an incredible neuropsychiatric and an author of some interesting books, he is commonly recognized for his discovery of the use of orgone energy.
The term orgone was used by Wilhelm Reich himself. It is best defined as the life energy force, which is found everywhere. Many ancient civilizations talked about this life energy force as well. The traditional Chinese culture, call this life energy Qi, and they’ve developed an ancient practice for cultivating and balancing this energy, a practice called Qi-gong. In the ancient Vedic texts from Hinduism, we can also find reference to this incredible life energy, which is called Prana and can also be utilized with the Kundalini energy.

It was a unique device that was constructed with metallic and organic materials. He believed that these metals would help attract, accumulate, and radiate orgone energy. The Suppression of Wilhelm Reich and his Orgone Energy research

Mainly some authorities like FDA interfered and assured that no one would work on the same concept again. What these narrow-minded people did not understand is that they are not stopping a scientist from discovering something great — they are taking the fate of the world in their hands.
Reich was a believer in sexual liberation. He did a lot of research and work on orgasm. He believed that most diseases in men are caused because they are not sexually satisfied. That is why in order to resolve health issues, he started working on orgone energy. He was ready to take his treatment processes to the next level and assure that experts from around the world can use a similar accumulator to treat their patients.
Until 1941 he continued to treat patients with the orgone accumulator. He was still experimenting with the effects of the energy. Before going public, he wanted to assure that the methodology was effective, and there are no side effects of this treatment technology. In 1941, once he was sure that he works will be appreciated by the authorities, and he collected enough evidence related to the effects of orgone energy he planned on going public. Before that, he has secretly cured many patients and recorded the improvement made in their health. He was working privately. Reich was arrested in December 1941 for his work on orgone energy. He was kept in prison for three weeks, and even after his release, he was continuously under surveillance. However, the FDA started experimenting with the newly introduced orgone energy. They conducted a series of investigations to find out the effects of orgone energy. They wanted to know its uses and risks before applying it to patients.
During these investigations, FDA visited Reich’s lab to get more information related to orgone energy. Reich opposed the actions of the FDA because it was his private lab. However, the FDA claimed that orgone energy does not exist, and the work done by Reich should be immediately stopped. At that point, all the work done by Reich was destroyed. By order of authorities, all his devices were destroyed, and even the work that supported the construction of these devices was burned as well to assure that orgone will not be used again. Reich was placed in a jail cell again in 1954 to ensure that he will not start working on orgone energy once again. This great scientist left the world in a jail cell in 1957. That is how a great discovery was suppressed once again by the authorities only because they were unable to understand the positive effects it had on the human body and health.

He was hoping that by 2007 the world will be advanced enough, that they might start working on orgone energy once again. It seems like he was correct because in 2013, once again, research started on orgone energy. It was believed that this special form of energy could support new life.
