Experiments Proving Thoughts Can Change Reality – Mind over Matter

The further quantum physicists peer into the nature of reality, the more evidence they are finding that everything is energy at the most fundamental levels.

The mind is a powerful thing. It is so powerful that it can alter reality. This isn’t something that is just said; there’s scientific proof that it is possible. By knowing how to change your thoughts and channel energy through your mind, you can change your life. The best way to understand how this is possible is to learn about the experiments that have been performed on it.

The Science of Mind Over Matter

Modern science believes the universe operates in a mechanical way. Unfortunately, anyone who truly believes this will not be able to accept anything that may contradict this assumption. However, those who are open enough to at least entertain the idea that there may be something else that controls the universe may be surprised to see that it’s not always a mechanical operation.

The problem with modern-day science is that there must be an explanation for everything, and that explanation needs to be seen. When scientists seek to understand the phenomenon of mind over matter, they do it with a faith-based scientific approach.

What makes it challenging to bring the power of the mind into the limelight is the natural tendency of people to push away anything they cannot physically see. If they don’t see it, they don’t understand it. The anxiety of not understanding something is too much, and they quickly look for tangible explanations. Sometimes, there are no tangible explanations because it’s simply energy that they cannot see that caused the reactions.

Energy and the Conscious Mind

Everyone has a conscious and that conscious can do many great things for people. It can send energy out into the universe to make certain things happen.

Have you ever heard someone say, “I don’t even want to say it or think it and put that out in the universe.”?

When someone says the above, they are referencing how powerful the conscious mind is and how it can produce energy that can infiltrate the universe. The universe can cause specific things to happen, which is influenced by that energy.

Energy cannot be seen. The conscious can’t be seen either. Thoughts are the only thing that people can experience, which is the tiny window that leads us to understanding how the mind can alter reality. It’s also how scientists have been able to conduct experiments to breathe truth into the power of the mind.

1. Dr. Masaru Emoto’s Water Experiment

A Japanese scientist named Dr. Masaru Emoto was one of the first to show our thoughts and intentions impact physical entities. He was able to show scientific evidence that the molecule structure in water can be transformed simply with human words, thoughts, sounds, and intentions.

In his book, “The Hidden Messages in Water”, he shows what happens when water is exposed to different intentions, such as love, compassion, benevolence, it can change positively change the aesthetics of the molecule formation. When water is exposed to fearful or discordant intentions, the results are disconnected, disfigured, and unpleasing formations. He used Magnetic Resonance Analysis Technology and high-speed photographs to capture the differences.

His experiment showed that even when water is polluted, it can be changed into something beautiful when it’s exposed to prayer and positive intentions. In addition to prayer and intentions, he showed how music affected water. He used heavy metal music to created ugly, distorted crystalline formations and then used classical music to generate beautiful crystalline patterns. Again, this shows how intentions can have a powerful impact on the results of physical property.

2. Dr. Emoto’s Rice Experiment

Dr. Emoto expanded his water experiment and tried something similar with rice. He poured rice into three beakers. He poured water into each beaker up to just past the rice. Each day for 30 days, he thanked one of the beakers, told the second one that it was an idiot and ignored the third one. The results were amazing!

The rice in the beaker that he thanked started to ferment and gave off a strong, pleasant aroma.

The rice is the second beaker (the one he called an idiot) turned black.

The rice in the third beaker that was ignored began to rot.

Dr. Emoto wanted to show that physical results are affected by positive words and intentions. When you treat something or someone well, they will thrive. When you treat someone badly or ignore them, they will fail.

3. Experiment by Dr. William A. Tiller

Dr. Tiller is a Professor Emeritus at Stanford University for the material science and engineering department. His passion is studying the mind over matter phenomenon. Through many experiments, he has been able to show that the mind can have a direct impact on physical matter.

In one of his experiments, he had a group of people who place their awareness on an electrical circuit that had a crystal on it. They implanted an intent on it, and the pH of water would go up and down based on it. The circuits were then wrapped in aluminum foil, shipped overnight to a lab, and placed next to a water sample.

The participants in the study were isolated in a room with absolutely no distractions. All environmental factors were monitored carefully.

The results of the experiment showed the water samples responded to the mind power as intended. PH rose or fell according to their intentions.

What makes this more believable is that the chances of this happening on its own is a million to one.

In another one of Dr. Tiller’s experiments, he was able to increase the growth of fruit flies by 15%. This showed that the power of the mind is not limited by distance or time.

4. Double Slit Experiment

“The observer affects the observed.” This statement is well known in modern physics. It refers to how a person can affect what he is seeing. This is also what resulted from the Double Slit Experiment.

The experiment involved looking at electrons and photon fired through a single slit. This causes a small dot to appear in the film. It’s a lot like a bullet going through a doorway and leaving a bullet hole on the wall across the room.

What’s strange is that where you have two slits for the electrons and photon to go through, it doesn’t produce a dot but rather a wave. In Quantum physics, this speaks to how photon paths are knowable, so they respond as particles. When the path is not known, it responds in waves.

The question is whether the photon is going through one of the two slits or breaks apart and goes through both slits. Unfortunately, no one has been able to answer this because as soon as they install a detector to track it, the wave pattern disappears. Scientists have named this as “collapsing the wave.”

The detector is not influencing the experiment at all. The same firing of electrons and photon through the two slits is made, but with the detector the response is different. The only explanation is the observer effect. When the process is being observed, it changes the outcome even though it is not directly affecting the process.

This has been expanded to popular culture in that it shows that just by observing something, you can change the results. Many people criticize this explanation, so the experiment has been done many times.

Recently, Dean Radin, Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Science published a study that reexamined the double slit experience, in which he further explores the power of the mind over matter. He set up the double slit experiment in a room that was shielded from electromagnetic signals and physical vibrations. He had mediators and non-mediators put their mind inside the box and watched the photons go through the slits. The results were the mediators were able to change the patterns of the particles from a wave into dots while the non-mediators did not produce that effect.

To show that this happened over and over again, they performed the same experiment 50 times with 50 mediators. It was even performed with mediators online. Every single time, the wave pattern collapse. It showed the mind is so powerful it can affect results even from many miles away.

To take it another step further, Redkin hooked up an EEG onto the participants to track their concentration. When they concentrated, it affected the results and when they didn’t, the wave pattern would show up again. On the EEG results, it shows that the right temporal lobe activity was what was high when they were concentrating and “collapsing the wave.”

5. Intentions Experiment

Lynn McTaggart is an American journalist, author, and publisher that conducts experiments around the world. She did an experiment with 10,000 people that had to do with a single intention. She had a leaf and the goal was to make the leaf glow. The group chose which leaf to use by flipping a coin.

To see the leaf glow, a high-powered sensitive camera would monitor the photons the leaf emitted. Dr. Gary Schwartz was the one who led the experiment. The results were just as they suspected. The leaf that received the intention glowed much brighter than the leaf that didn’t receive the intention. This experiment was repeated many times.

A similar experiment was also performed but with a plant. A large group of Australian sent energy to seeds. This caused the seeds to germinate faster and the plants themselves grew faster and bigger. Again, this experiment was performed many times with the same results.

6. The Libet Experiment

This experiment is somewhat different from the others, but it still shows how the mind can have power over what happens around us and even in what we do.

Benjamin Libet conducted a very famous experiment that sought to show that decisions people made were already made in the mind before people were even consciously aware of them. In his experiment, he used brain scanners to track brain activity. He asked people to flick their wrists whenever they wanted to, and then track it. The results were extraordinary. He showed brain activity ramped before the person made the decision to flex – 0.15 seconds beforehand.

What this experiment shows is that the mind is so powerful that it can unconsciously make decisions, and then it signals the conscious mind to send signals for the person to act. This undermines the concept of free will, and at times, it takes the conscious to refute what the unconscious is trying to do.

7. Pain Management with Jack. Schwarz

Jack Schwarz wasn’t a scientist, but he was a Dutch Jewish writer who went through horrid conditions during World War II. He was tortured so badly that he nearly died. To get through the pain of the beating and starvation, he would practice meditation and prayer. He was able to focus so well on his practices that he would be able to block out the torment and pain.

Even after he was free from the abuse, he continued his practices and wanted to show others the power of the mind. He demonstrated his skills by putting a long sail-maker’s needle through his arm. He was able to stop and start the flow of blood from his puncture wound just with the power of his mind. When an electroencephalograph was placed on his brain, it showed that he had different electrical activity compared to other people.

This showed that he made permanent changes in his mind to make it possible for him to control his pain and even bodily processes.

8. Dr. David Speigel’s Study

Dr. David Spiegel of Stanford University conducted a study on women who were suffering from late-stage breast cancer. Half of the women received only standard medical care, and then the other half had support sessions along with their medical care. These sessions were therapeutic because women would share their feelings with others who understood. This session was a positive outlet for them. The results of the study were that the women who had the support sessions lived twice as long as those who did not have them.

Dr. Spiegal claims he was able to cure his cancer simply through meditation and imagination. He writes about it in his book, “The King’s Speech.” About two weeks before his surgery for bladder cancer, he decided to try to do something about his cancer with imagination. He imagines a bladder that was healthy, clean and cream-colored. When he went in for his pre-surgery biopsy, the doctor was amazed. The cancer was gone! His doctor called it spontaneous remission, but Dr. Siegal believes it was his visualization.

9. Modern Day Scientific Applications

This science of mind of the matter is being used in modern-day technologies. In one
experiment with a 25-year-old quadriplegic, hair-thin electrodes were implanted in his brain. With these electrodes, all he had to do was think about doing something the computer would process the information and do it. For instance, he was able to open and close his prosthetic hand or manipulate a robotic arm. This success will surely lead to many advancements in helping people with disabilities, especially those who are unable to communicate verbally.

How the Power of the Mind Can Help Your Reality

With all of this information, you’re probably already wondering how you can use your mind to alter your reality. What you must know is that you must train your mind to concentrate and focus intently enough for your energy to infiltrate the universe.

Many people will haphazardly say that they don’t want to put something out into the universe because it may happen, but it’s usually something negative. And really, it’s the anxiety they have that causes bad energy to go into the universe that will make that bad situation happen.

The same thing has to be done with positivity. In other words, you must learn how to put off positive energy in a way that it will go into the universe and alter your reality. You must take control of your consciousness and make it BELIEVE and have FAITH that it will happen. There must be a deep feeling and emotion behind what you want to happen for it to have an impact because those feelings and emotions are what is putting off the energy that will change your life.

There is help available to intensify the power of your mind. If you’re interested in learning more about how you can use your mind to alter your reality, contact us for more information on how we can help.
