Have you ever had that intuitive feeling that someone was watching you, but no physical person was in sight? All around the world right now, there could be a clairvoyant observing you from an impossible distance. But, what is remote viewing, and what do scientists think about it?
What is remote viewing?
Remote viewing is similar to clairvoyance which is someone’s ability to view an object, person, or place without being in that location physically. Practicing remote viewing is known as extrasensory perception (ESP). One might confuse this with astral projection when they are different. Astral projection is an out-of-body experience where the person’s soul detaches from their body and travels on the astral plane.
There is conflicting evidence on whether science supports remote viewing, but why would the government spend millions on remote viewing programs? During the cold war, the US recruited clairvoyants and psychics as a “weapon” against the Soviet Union. For 25 years, the government used remote viewers to trace the path of terrorists.
Remote Viewing and Ancient Beliefs
All throughout history, we see traces of remote viewing and astral projection. Every race, tribe, and religion has some form of ESP, clairvoyance, or foresight. Governments worldwide have spent millions trying to understand how it works, yet they try to bury its existence.
Unlike today, science and ancient mysteries like remote viewing was intertwined. Ancient Egypt and China believed in science, astronomy, as well as the existence of extrasensory perception. Egyptians have also documented astral projection, the spiritual world, and the afterlife for thousands of years.
In the Pacific Northwest, Native Americans had prophets that they believed could travel through the spirit world and used their intuition and foresight to aid in making decisions for their tribe. The Wai-Wai people of the Amazon believed that the shamans took soul flights to celestial beings.
Over centuries, many cultures believe in the importance of nature and its ability to protect itself and communicate. Moreover, they believed that there is a spiritual connection between nature and humans. So much so that they were and are worshipped today.
According to a study conducted by ecologist Suzanne Simard, trees can communicate with each other. In her research, trees would transfer nutrients to another who needs them, search for their kin and send warning signals to each other if there is a significant change to their environment. She draws a comparison between the communication of trees and the neural networks within the brain. Could this prove that everything is connected and remote viewing is a real possibility backed by science?
Even Albert Einstein dabbled in the supernatural and attended a seance almost 100 years ago.
Change in Western Science
The Smithsonian educates people of an Iñupiat whaling captain Harry Bowser Sr. in Anchorage, Alaska. The story goes that Bowser saw everything that a baby bowhead whale saw from its hospital bed. Bowser said that he felt the harpoon going into his body, who killed the whale, the people there when the whale died, and where the meat got stored. He was accurate on all the events of that day. As a result, there are now regulations protecting pregnant whales from being hunted.
Documenting Senses
For years people have documented those with extrasensory “powers” that defy the laws of physics. Take the documentary Superhuman, the Invisible Made Visible. This award-winning show is about people performing groundbreaking scientific experiences and demonstrations to prove our consciousness’s true nature and power. For instance, one participant who is just a child can read a book blindfolded.
The producer, Caroline Cory, takes us on a journey to discovering remote viewing through groundbreaking scientific experiments. In the documentary, Cory is able to change the pH of water.
We also have am article called Buddhist Monks Superpowers: Rainbow Body, Levitation, Immortal Monks which explores all of the psychic abilities possessed by Buddhist monks living in remote monasteries. With the power of meditation and control of the mind, they are able to do extraordinary things.
If this is just the starting point and we are just discovering our capabilities, what can we do in the future with our bodies? Can we completely defy the laws of science and biology and cure illnesses within ourselves?
Final Thoughts
You will discover time and time again that ordinary people can experience remote viewing – seeing things in a different room or on another part of the planet. Take a moment to think about the universe and our place in it. All the galaxies, planets, and lifeforms are all made from energy. Thus, our energies can connect to the energies around us and in the universe.
Where does this plane exist, and is it all consciousness? How do the mind and the physical world coexist? If we had control of our energy, our capabilities would be endless.
“Everything is energy, and that’s all there is to it.”
– Einstein
All throughout history, we see stories, markings, teachings, and much more on extrasensory perception, astral travel, and consciousness as a whole. Science is starting to make connections between physics and the non-physical world, and when we do, the possibilities are endless!
